Why you need to make these 5 Minute Chilli Oil Noodles

    1. They are ready in 5 minutes: who doesn't love a 5 minute recipe?
    2. You can adjust the spice: these are obviously going to be pretty spicy! But you can bring the heat level right down and only use as much chilli oil as you are comfortable with. This is a safe space and we won't judge you if you can't handle the spice
    3. You hardly need any dishes: Who can be bothered with dishes? not meee. You just need to cook the noodles in a pot then mix with the sauce in a bowl and serve. Easy peasy!

Ingredients for 5 Minute Chilli Oil Noodles

Here's everything you need for these 5 Minute Chilli Oil Noodles

    • Instant noodles: for the base of our dish. You can use any noodles you like!
    • Chilli Oil: because we're making chilli oil noodles 😉
    • Oyster sauce: For a little sweetness and extra umami! Sweet Soy Kecap Manis is also perfect.
    • Soy Sauce: for some extra saltiness.
    • Lemon: for some freshness.
    • Cucumber: break up the spiciness with some cool cucumber.
    • Chives: for some extra freshness and flavour on top. You can use spring onions too.
    • Boiled Eggs: Just to add a little something extra

    See recipe card for quantities

    Substitutions

    • Vegan - use vegetarian oyster sauce or sweet soy as a vegan replacement. And also leave out the egg!
    • Gluten Free - Use rice noodles, tamari > soy and leave out the oyster sauce

    Storage

Best served fresh but you can keep this in the fridge for a few days if you want! Store the cucumber and eggs separately.
