Easy Homemade Flat Bread
Ingredients
- 300 g/2 cups bread flour
- 200 ml water lukewarm
- 3 g/1 tsp caster sugar
- 3 g/1 tsp dry active yeast
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Add the water and sugar to a bowl and mix to allow most of the sugar to dissolve. Add the yeast and let sit for 10 minutes to activate the yeast. When it is is foamy the yeast is activated.
- Add the flour and salt to the bowl and mix into a rough dough.
- Kneed the dough until it is smooth and elastic. This will take 2 - 3 minutes in a stand mixer or 8 - 10 minutes kneading with your hands.
- Line a bowl with olive oil, place the dough in the bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Leave someone warm for an hour to rise. It is ready when the dough has doubled in size.
- On a flour dusted surface, divide dough into 4. Roll each piece into a flat round circle.
- Bring a pan to high heat with a little bit of oil. Cook the bread on each side for about 2 - 3 minutes. Enjoy!
